PayPal works as an online payment platform between buyers and sellers of goods and services. Traditionally, the seller can collect a buyer’s payment by sending an invoice via email through Paypal. Then the buyer enters the bank or credit card information in the Paypal payment platform to deposit the payment in the seller’s PayPal account. This method can also be used to deposit additional funds into your PayPal account using your own credit card.
Sign in to your PayPal account. If you don’t have one, you will need to register at www.paypal.com. The registration process requires that you enter personal information such as your name, your address, your telephone number and your email address.
Select the “Request Money” option in the PayPal menu located near the top of your account page. This option will allow you to request funds from anyone, including yourself, with an email address.
You must type your email address in the “Recipient Email Address” box and enter the amount you wish to transfer in the “Amount” box. Click the orange “Continue” button at the bottom of the form. This will send an email to your account with a link that will direct you to an invoice where you can make the payment to your account.
Log in to your email account and open the message you sent from your PayPal account. Enter your name, your billing address and your credit card number. Click on the “Send Payment” button at the bottom of the form. This action will transfer the funds from your credit card to your PayPal account.
