US Bank is one of the five largest banks in the United States.
US Bank has its history since 1863 when the First National Bank of Cincinnati was founded and which, after a series of mergers at the beginning of the 21st century, adopted the name by which we currently know it, having its headquarters in Minnesota. Types of US Bank Checking Accounts
In all accounts you need $25 dollars to open it. US Bank has five checking accounts, one for students, two popular with the American community and two with premium quality.
Safe Debit Account
This account has a fee of $4.95 dollars, accessible to your pockets so you don’t have to worry about maintaining a minimum balance, so you can’t give it up. It is also overdraft protected. You can withdraw money inside US Bank’s 4,842 ATMs, although if you do it outside the network, you will be charged a fee of $2.5 dollars.
Easy Checking
You can waive the $6.95 fee as long as you have direct deposits of $1,000 or more per month, maintain an average monthly balance of $1,500, or are age 65 or older. You are charged $2.5 for using out-of-network ATMs and $36 for overdrafts greater than $5.
US Bank also has its Student Checking account where there is no maintenance fee and its premium accounts: Gold Checking for $14.95 dollars per month, unless you have opened a personal loan, line, mortgage or credit card with the bank; and Platinum Checking which charges $24.95 unless you maintain a combined balance of $25,000.
